double viking axe battle ready Zwaardtassen gambeson armsThe heavy axe is based on a historical original from the British Museum. Axes of this type were used principally for chopping wood during the early Middle Ages and early modern period. They were, of course, also employed for other purposes which is why this double Viking axe has been made battle ready. The tips are rounded and the edges are 3 mm thick, making it well suited to use on the reenactment battlefield.
